It’s done, but it’s not perfect.

Perfectionism. It's common for our kids to feel pressure to excel in academics, sports, and social relationships. All these things WILL fade away though. We can help by reminding our teens that they’re fearfully and wonderfully made by God, and their value lies in who they are, not what they achieve. Secondly, encourage balance and self-compassion. James 1:2 reminds us to count it all joy when we go through trails because it will perfect us in who God wants us to be. Mistakes and setbacks are part of life's journey. Lastly, model grace and celebrate effort over perfection. Let them know that you love and accept them unconditionally, regardless of their achievements. As parents, we play a vital role in guiding our teens in their day-to-day walk with the Lord.
